Our luxury thatched cottage is nestled in the quiet little crofting community of  Kilpheder (Cille Pheadair) just a few minutes walk from tranquil, unspoilt white beaches, also known as the ‘Machair’. You are very likely to see grey seals swimming by the rocky crevices as you walk along this delightful, peaceful coastline on the western side of the Island.

The Sitting Room, Eating Area and Kitchen
This open plan space is tastefully decorated and enables you to listen to the radio or watch TV while you cook, relax or eat. There is an eclectic mix of antiques, including chess table, large sofa, easy chairs, dining table with four chairs, and a well equipped modern kitchen with oven, four ring induction hob, dishwasher and refrigerator. French windows lead from the sitting room to the garden and helps create a light and airy atmosphere.

Hallway
Leading to Main Bathroom, en-suite Bedroom and Second Bedroom

The front door of the cottage leads into a spacious hallway with double doors entering into the sitting room on one side, and double oak doors on the other side to hang coats.

Straight ahead is the main bathroom with Victorian style suite, a free-standing roll top tub, separate walk-in shower and a heated towel rail. Luxurious velvety towels, bath mats and hairdryer are included to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We can also offer luxurious deep pile bathrobes.

Bedroom One (with en-suite)
Both bedrooms are carpeted in Blackwatch Tartan. The main bedroom has a super king brass bed from ‘And-so-to bed’ with antique bedside tables and wardrobe. The en-suite has a polished granite heated floor, WC, wash basin walk-in shower and heated towel rail.

Bedroom Two
This room has two luxurious four foot beds with two bedside tables, reading lamps and a large wardrobe. All our beds are made up with top quality Egyptian cotton bedding and two-ply (9.5 & 5.5 tog) duvets.

The Outhouse
A door from the kitchen leads directly to the heated outhouse. This spacious room has a washing machine, separate tumble dryer and sink. It is a general area for taking off muddy boots, hanging heavy coats and even has a cosy bed for your dog when he needs to dry off, if he has decided to jump in the loch next to the cottage.
